Yes I know, Fall is here! But it can be tough to embrace Fall fashion in 95 degree weather. I’ll slowly be transitioning into warmer hues and longer hemlines, but in the meantime let’s talk about stripes and print mixing.
My grandma would most likely tell me that mixing the scale of stripes or wearing a stripe and a floral is a big fashion No-No! She would probably also say I can’t wear sequin in the daytime. Nonsense! I know!
If you’ve read previous posts you already know I’m not a huge fan of rules. I believe if you wear an outfit with confidence you can pull almost anything off! (emphasizing on the almost)
I love stripes in all scales and directions. I feel like it’s a perfect base print to mix with anything from a floral to a polka-dot. If you’re not comfortable with print mixing just yet, pairing a bold stripe with a thin one could be a fun and simple way to start.
Another thing I have always loved is a good bow, big or small. They’ve always reminded me of the 50’s and 60’s when women wore full skirts and cinched their waist with bow finishes. The bows are my favorite part about this top!
This midi-skirt is a classic. I’m working on a fall look with it since I love getting multiple uses of my pieces. I typically invest in pieces I can wear over and over again. Stay tuned!
